Serves 4 

Ingredients
1½ lb/680g broccoli separated into florets
2oz/50g fresh breadcrumbs
Whole bulb garlic, cloves separated and peeled
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3oz/75g butter or margarine.
Oil

Method
Heat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas6, separate and peel the cloves of garlic. Oil a roasting tin or baking tray with about one tablespoon of oil, add the garlic cloves and roast for approx. 20 minutes, basting and turning them as necessary until they are soft and browned.

Meanwhile, cook the broccoli as normal, drain and keep warm Melt the butter or margarine in a saucepan and then gently fold in the broccoli to coat all the florets. Remove, with a slotted spoon, to a serving dish and keep warm.

Add the breadcrumbs to the remaining butter or margarine and cook until crisp and then add the lemon juice
Sprinkle the crumbs over the broccoli followed by the garlic cloves and serve.
