Use fresh or frozen green beans for this recipe. The broad beans can be fresh, frozen or even tinned ones work well. If using tinned ones warm them through and then drain them before mixing with the green beans. Serves 4 as a side dish or 2 as a main vegetable dish.

Ingredients
8oz/225g green beans
6oz/175g broad beans
1oz/25g butter or margarine
1 heaped tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method
Cook the beans as normal, separately, and season with salt and pepper. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and add the sesame seeds. Cook gently until the seeds turn golden brown and remove the pan from the heat. Add the lemon juice and mix well. Toss in both drained beans and mix well to coat. Transfer to a serving dish.
